
Marina Rajič, MPE, Ph.D.
Marina is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of BioViros. With a background in pharmaceutical engineering, Marina is building New Zealand's first viral vector CDMO to provide development services and GMP manufacturing of lentiviruses.
Marina’s mission is to play a significant part in bettering the lives of millions around the world, which she strives to achieve through biotech. She enjoys connecting with both clients and investors. Before founding BioViros, she worked at Leukocare AG in Munich, as a Senior Business Development Manager where she enjoyed the fast pace and highly dynamic environment, helping international clients find solutions for their formulation development for biologic drug products.
Prior to that, she was involved in science commercialization through Massey Ventures, Return On Science, and Momentum Investment Committees. Marina thrived in bridging the communication and resources between investors and research leaders. Taking innovation out of the labs into the real world is her favourite challenge. After graduating from science degrees, she completed the Harvard Business School CORe courses, getting a better understanding of business, economics and management.
Dr. Rajič received her PhD in Biochemistry at Massy University where she worked on filamentous phage vaccine development and nanorod-based diagnostic assays. She completed her MSc and BSc (Hons) degrees in Pharmaceutical Engineering at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad.
